When you’ve been hit with a nasty cold or even the flu, give your body a boost with this soothing medicinal tea recipe. Fresh lemon juice is jam-packed full of vitamin C, which strengthens your immune system and protects your body from the destructive effects of free radicals. Fresh ginger is a natural anti-inflammatory and helps relieve sore throat symptoms. It also helps your body kill off viruses – the root of your cold symptoms (no pun intended). The cough/cold benefits of raw honey include soothing your sore throat and suppressing your cough symptoms. It also has antioxidant properties as well (not to mention tastes delicious). Lastly, turmeric helps to reduce inflammation and fight infection. Note that its yellow color can stain though, so be careful around white clothing or furniture.

Combine all these ingredients together, and you’ve got yourself one cup of cold-fighting power!
