If you’ll be traveling outside the United States soon, Bartell Drugs’ International Travel Clinic will help you take the right preventive measures before you head out on your trip abroad.

When adventures take you abroad, make an appointment with your pharmacist to review any vaccines and medication you’ll need for your trip. Start by filling out and submitting our Online Travel Consultation Form with your travel details.

Travel Consultation

When you make an appointment with our Travel Clinic, you’ll have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with your neighborhood pharmacist, who will work with you to create a customized travel plan. As part of your appointment, you’ll receive a packet of personalized information about where you’re going and the potential health risks, all with your health history in mind.

Prior to your scheduled consultation, you will fill out a pre-consult questionnaire detailing your travel plans, prior vaccination history, current medication history, and other relevant health information. This is important to help you stay healthy while traveling. All decisions are based on the latest CDC guidelines, as well as, information on your travel destination that is current to the date of your appointment.

Vaccines

Recommendations as to what vaccines and/or medications you may need will be made by the pharmacist based on your travel destination and plans.

Travel Vaccines:

Typhoid, Hepatitis A, Yellow Fever, Meningococcal, Rabies, Japanese Encephalitis, Cholera

Routine Vaccinations:

Influenza, Pneumococcal, Tetanus

Cost:

Full Travel Consult: $60

Medication

Recommendations as to what vaccines and/or medications you may need will be made by the pharmacist based on your travel destination and plans.

Travel Medicines:

Anti-Malarial Prophylaxis, Traveler’s Diarrhea Treatment, Motion Sickness Prevention

Other:

Altitude Sickness Prevention, Allergic Reaction Medicine

Don’t forget that we take passport photos, too. While it’s fine to take your own photo, the department of U. S. Passports & International Travel recommends using a professional photo service — like us. This is because there are strict technical guidelines in taking passport photos. We’ll take the hassle out of the passport photo process, ensuring you’re looking your best, while meeting all requirements. Make sure to call ahead to confirm Photo Studio hours.

PHOTO STUDIO

Your travel pictures should be a beautiful full-color representation of your trip, so you can relive it again and again. Not only can you print them in the more traditional way, our photo studio can help you create unique gifts such as: custom photo books, cards, coffee mugs, calendars and other keepsakes. Our studio can also transfer any of your photos to DVD. You can order online or visit any Bartell Drugs and use one of our Kodak photo print kiosk.
