However, come September, over 55,000 students in Washington state struggle to buy the school supplies necessary to excel in the classroom. For over 16 years, Bartell Drugs has partnered with Star 101.5, World Vision, and generous neighbors like you to help make sure these students have the tools they need to achieve their educational dreams. The School Tools program welcomes donations of school supplies and hygiene products at all sixty-six Bartell Drugs locations. These donations will assist qualifying students in over 160 schools in King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties.
The benefits seen from this program are reflected in the smiles of the students along with their academic achievements. The positive impact School Tools has on learners is like no other. Teachers are also grateful for this program and appreciate the support for the kids in their classrooms. Local teacher Marie H.C. recalls that “many of our students come without supplies and I end up spending personal dollars. I wish you could see the smiles on our students’ faces when they get NEW supplies. Those supplies make them feel good about the work they are doing.”
