FAQ – Online Pharmacy
We’ve updated the Online Pharmacy experience to give you more control over your active prescriptions. Now, all prescriptions can be viewed under the “VIEW ALL” tab and you choose which prescriptions to archive. Transferred prescriptions are the only prescriptions that are automatically archived. And, as in the past, you can move prescriptions back and forth from “VIEW ALL” to “ARCHIVED” as desired.
What features are available with Bartell Drugs’ Online Pharmacy?
- Refill your prescriptions using our quick refill feature, or by logging in
- Log in anytime to see the active status of your prescription refill
- Transfer a prescription from another pharmacy
- Archive prescriptions that are no longer relevant to you
- Add family members to your account, so you can refill their prescriptions as well as yours
What updates have recently been made to Bartell Drugs’ Online Pharmacy?
December 1, 2017: Online pharmacy account holders now have more control over archiving their prescriptions. All prescriptions are now able to be archived by the account holder, with the exception of prescriptions that have been transferred. Prescriptions that have been transferred to another Bartell pharmacy, or a pharmacy outside of Bartells, will be automatically archived.
CREATING AN ACCOUNT
How do I create an account?
Step 1: Download our Bartell App, or visit rx.bartelldrugs.com
Step 2: Click “Create Account”
Step 3: Enter your first and last name, date of birth, phone number and email address*
*Note that your email address will become your username when you next log in
Step 4: Enter one of your active Bartell prescription numbers
- This is a 10 digit number (possibly with letters at the end) that includes a dash (ie. 0123456-010)
Step 5: Choose a password and select a security question
Step 6:Accept our Terms & Conditions, and press “Create an Account”
I followed the steps to create an account, but got an error message – what’s wrong?
Check to see if your last name, date of birth, and prescription number match your pill bottle exactly. We use this information to look your account up in our larger pharmacy system. Also, make sure you’re using one of your active prescription numbers to create an account. If you’re still unable to log in, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I don’t want to create an account. Can I still perform an online refill of my prescription(s)?
Yes! For your convenience, we offer the ability for you to quickly refill your prescription without creating an account. You can do so by clicking on the gray box just below the log-in field. Here, you’ll enter your prescription number, plus the date and time you wish to pick up the prescription.
How do I archive or unarchive the prescriptions I don’t need anymore?
For prescriptions that are not currently being refilled, click “archive prescription” just below the “refill now” button for the prescription you would like to archive. To unarchive a prescription, scroll to the top of your prescriptions page, then click on the dropdown in the upper left corner of your screen. Select “View Archived Prescriptions.” Click “Move to Active Prescriptions” in the lower right corner of the prescription you would like to move to your active prescriptions list. Note that you are unable to unarchive prescriptions that have been transferred to another Bartell Drug pharmacy, or a pharmacy outside of Bartells.
ADDING A FAMILY MEMBER
How do I add a family member to my account?
Step 1: Click “My Account” in your navigation
Step 2: Scroll to the bottom of the page and select “Add a Person.”
Step 3: Select the age range of the person you’d like to add:
To Add an Adult or Young Adult (Ages 13 or Older):
Step 4: Select “Adult or Young Adult under “I’d like to add”
Step 5: Enter your family member’s name, date of birth, and his or her email address. *
Step 6: Press “Submit”. This will send an email to that family member asking them to accept your request. They will need to create an account if they haven’t done so already, then log in and accept your request via a pop-up that comes up right after logging in.
* NOTE: the email address you enter for them will need to be unique to them.
To Add a Child (Ages 12 and Younger)
Step 4: Select “Child” under “I’d like to add”
Step 5: Enter your child’s first and last name, date of birth, and one of their active prescription numbers.
Step 6: Press “Submit”.
Can I add a family member to my account if we share the same email address?
At this time, each online pharmacy account holder needs to have their own email address. This is because of privacy and security reasons. Email is the way we confirm permission to have one account holder take over managing prescriptions for another.
How do I update my email address?
For security reasons, in order to update your email address, please contact us at email@example.com. We will update your email address for you.
I forgot my password. How do I perform a password reset?
Step 1: Click “forgot password”
Step 2: Enter your email address, and then click “email password reset.”
Step 3: From there, you will be sent an email to this address with a link for you to click to update your password and answer your security question.*
*If you never received an email in your inbox, check your spam folder. If the email isn’t in your spam folder, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Step 4: Select a new password. Please note that the password should be a minimum of 8 characters, have at least one capital letter and one number.
I can’t remember my security question. How can I reset it?
Step 1: If you’re able to log into your account, click on “My Account”
Step 2: Click “Edit Security”
Step 3: Toggle to “Edit Security Question”
Step 4: Enter your password, then select a new security question
Step 5: Press “Submit”
