This Privacy Statement describes the types of information that Bartell Drugs collects through your use of our website (including without limitation and social media channels (collectively, the “Services”). This Statement does not apply to information collected about you through any other means, including information collected by third parties or through non-electronic or offline means. The Bartells Notice of Privacy Practices governs information that you provide to obtain pharmacy services or that our personnel acquire in the course of dispensing drugs, items or supplies. Neither the Statement nor our NOPP governs information provided in connection with services provided by a Care Clinic at any Bartells location

This Statement covers:

  • What Personally Identifying Information (defined below) is collected by Bartells through our Services.
  • How Bartells uses this information and with whom Bartells may share Personally Identifying Information.
  • What choices are available to you with respect to collection, use and sharing of this information.
  • What types of security procedures are in place to protect the loss or misuse of this information while under our control.

By accessing or using the Services, you consent to our use of your Personally Identifying Information as described in this Statement. As further set forth in Section J below, this Statement may change from time to time, and your continued use of the Services after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes. Information We Collect:

We collect information from you in two ways. First, you provide us with certain information when you register for and/or use our Services. For example, when you create an account on our website or mobile application, when you participate in surveys or contests we offer or administer, when you opt in to receiving information about our products or services, like email alerts, newsletter, and other notifications.
Second, we collect certain information automatically when you interact with our Services. For example, how you use our sites and mobile applications, search terms, pages you visit, computer and mobile device information, push notification services you request, and your location information if you provide it to us.

1. Information You Provide to Us

We may collect Personally Identifying Information from you when you submit web forms on, participate in surveys, enter promotions, interact with us on our social media channels, register as a user, provide comments and suggestions, or sign up for e-mail news updates or events. “Personally Identifying Information” is defined as any information collected and stored under your name.

  • We may collect Personally Identifying Information that you provide to us, including your name, address, email address, phone number, and date of birth to provide our pharmacy services.
  • If you submit personal information of other people (such as family members) while using our online services, you promise that you are authorized to do so and agree to allow us to use the information in accordance with this policy.
  • We may combine the information collected from you through our online services with information that we receive from and about you from other online and offline sources, such as in our stores, and use the combined information in accordance with this policy. If you do not want us to collect this information, please do not provide it. Please note, if you choose not to provide Personally Identifiable Information to Bartells, we may not be able to provide requested services to you.

2. Information We Automatically Collect from You When You Use the Services

We (or service providers working on our behalf) may use technologies, including “cookies”, “pixel tags” and other similar technologies to automatically collect information from you when you use the Services. Cookies are small amounts of data that are stored within your Internet browser, which saves and recognizes your browsing habits. uses both session cookies (which track a user’s progression during one site visit) and persistent cookies (which track a user over time).
Information that may be collected by cookies and pixel tags when you use the Services may include, without limitation:

  • web pages you visit;
  • date and time of your visit to or use of the Services;
  • usage and activity data related to the Services;
  • websites you visit before or after visiting the Services;

  • Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer or mobile device to the Internet or a network;
  • media access control (MAC) address;
  • information that identifies a device’s location (geolocation information);
  • your computer or mobile device and connection information, such as your browser type and version, operating system, and platform; and your device identifier.

You can delete cookie files from your hard drive, or avoid them altogether, by configuring your browser to reject them or to notify you when a cookie is being placed on your hard drive. However, not all features of the Services will function as intended if you reject cookies. You can read more about our automatic data collection practices in Section D below.
The information we collect automatically is primarily statistical information and may include Personally Identifying Information, or we may maintain it or associate it with Personally Identifying Information we collect in other ways or receive from third parties. If you do not want us to collect this information, please do not use the Services.

How We Use the Information We Collect:

We may use information collected from or about you for any of the following purposes:

  • developing, providing and improving the Services;
  • assisting with the provision of other services;
  • managing and verifying your account and the identity of users of the Services;
  • contacting you when necessary about your account or your use of the Services;
  • sending you information and promotional materials about the Services and other service offerings as well as in general;
  • responding to support requests;
  • complying with public records requests and regulatory requirements for the maintenance of records;
  • conducting internal reviews of our Services to help us better understand visitors’ and end users’ uses of our Services;
  • protecting the security and integrity of our Services;

How We Share Your Information with Third Parties:

We may share the Personally Identifying Information we collect in connection with the Services with third parties, as described below:

1. Public Content

If you post comments, images, and/or other content to our social media pages, that information (associated with your user name) will be publicly viewable. Bartell Drugs uses social media tools and websites to interact with customers and resource partners. Bartell Drugs does not use third party websites to solicit and collect personal information from individuals. Any personal information collected by a third part website will not be transmitted to Bartell Drugs unless required for law enforcement purposes or as otherwise permitted by law. We may share your Personally Identifying Information with our third-party vendors and other service providers who provide services to us or on our behalf, such as operating and supporting the Services, performing marketing or consulting services, and assisting us with the preparation and mailing of our business and marketing communications and with processing and fulfillment functions. These third-party service providers may use your Personally Identifying Information on behalf of Bartell Drugs, for Bartell’s own marketing purposes. We encourage you to read the policies of each third party site before deciding to use it.

3. Third-Party Analytics Providers

We may also share your Personally Identifying Information with third parties who conduct marketing studies and data analytics. These third parties may combine your information with the information of other consumers for purposes of conducting these studies and/or analytics. For example, we use certain Google products to track and report activity within the Services, as follows:

  • We use Google Analytics for tracking and reporting activity within the Services. This allows us to better understand our users and to optimize their digital experience.
  • We use Google’s AdWords and Remarketing features to advertise online. Third-party vendors, including Google, show our ads on sites across the Internet. We and third-party vendors, including Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) together to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on your past visits to our website. 4. Response to Subpoenas or Court Orders, or Protection of Our Rights

We may disclose your information to government authorities or third parties if:

  • you have given us permission to share your information;
  • we are required to do so by law, or in response to a subpoena or court order;
  • we believe in our sole discretion that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect against fraud, or to protect our property or other rights, or those of other users of the Services, third parties, or the public at large; or
  • we believe that you have abused the Services by using it to attack or gain unauthorized access to a system or to engage in spamming or other conduct that violates applicable laws or the Bartell Drugs Terms of Use.

Your Choices:

We provide the opportunity to opt out of receiving communications from us and our partners at the point where we request information about you. In addition, you may unsubscribe or opt out of receiving communications from us by following the instructions to unsubscribe in any email marketing communication you receive.
You may change certain details in your pharmacy profile by logging in and revising or deleting your account information. You may also opt out of receiving email or request the removal or a change in the personal information you have provided to us by using the “Contact Us” link in the footer of our website.

How We Protect Your Information:

We have implemented commercially reasonable measures designed to secure your Personally Identifying Information from unauthorized access, use, alteration and disclosure. However, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. You acknowledge that: (a) the limitations of the Internet are beyond our control; (b) the security, integrity and privacy of information and data exchanged between you and us cannot be guaranteed; and (c) any such information and data may be viewed or tampered with in transit by a third party. Bartell Drugs has no responsibility or liability for the security of information transmitted via the Internet.

California Privacy Rights:

Under California Civil Code sections 1798.83-1798.84, California residents are entitled to ask us for a notice that identifies the categories of personal information we share with affiliates and/or third parties for marketing purposes, and provides contact information for such affiliates and/or third parties. Correcting/Updating Your Information:

If your information changes, you may contact us to correct, update or delete and/or deactivate our records. Washington State records retention requirements may require that we retain a copy of a document containing your Personally Identifying Information, even when your Personally Identifying Information has been removed from our working database.
By establishing a Bartell Drugs account, you agree that it is your responsibility to

  • control the disclosure and use of your Bartell Drugs online account, user ID and password
  • promptly change your password if you think it has been compromised
  • promptly inform us of any need to deactivate a password or an account using the “Contact Us” link in the footer of our website.

No Use by Children:

The Services are not intended for users younger than 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that a visitor under the age of 13 has submitted Personally Identifying Information without verifiable parental consent, we will remove his or her information from our files.

Use of Information Outside Your Country of Residence:

The Services are directed to users located in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States and choose to use the Services or provide your information to us, you should be aware that we may transfer your information to the United States and process it there. The privacy laws in the United States may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction. Your consent to this Statement followed by your submission of information to us through or in connection with the Services represents your agreement to the transfer of your information to the United States.

We may change this Statement from time to time. If we decide to make a material change in this Statement, we will post it on this page. Your continued use of the Services after the posting of changes to this Statement will mean you accept these changes. Refund and Return Policy

Bartell Drugs guarantees your satisfaction of all products sold in our stores. We will gladly exchange or refund items purchased from any Bartell Drugs. Your receipt is your guarantee. Restrictions may apply.

Prescription Medications

If you have any questions regarding your prescription(s) or feel you may have received something in error, please contact the pharmacist of the store where the prescription was purchased immediately.

Questions and Comments

Bartell Drugs has always believed that good communication with their customers is vital, especially with our online customers. If for any reason you wish to contact Bartell Drugs with comments or concerns, you may do so by completing our online comment form.

Identification Scanning for Alcohol and Tobacco Sales

For those purchasing alcohol or tobacco products, Bartell Drugs reserves the right to request inspection of a state or federally issued photo identification. For any individual appearing to be age 40 years or younger, your ID will also be scanned for verification. PLEASE NOTE: None of your personal information is stored in our system by this scan, nor do staff see any of this information. The scan only verifies your age for the purchase. This is to ensure compliance with all state regulations concerning sales of alcohol and tobacco to minors.

Gift Card Terms and Conditions

This Gift Card is provided for your convenience and may be used to purchase merchandise at any Bartell Drugs retail location. This is not a Debit or Credit card and it carries no implied warranties. When you make a purchase with this card, your receipt will show the balance remaining on the card. You may check the balance of the card at any Bartell Drugstore.

Gift Cards may be purchased with cash, check, credit cards, debit cards, or traveler’s checks. They may be purchased in any value from $5.00 to $100.00 and may be reloaded repeatedly with additional value up to $100.00. Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a refund. Bartell Drugs Gift Cards have no expiration date. Bartell Drugs is not responsible for lost or stolen Gift Cards.

Bartell Drugs reserves the right to change these requirements.

Coupon Policy

  • We will accept only coupons issued by Bartell Drugs or the Manufacturer that are presented at the time of the purchase and are within the valid dates printed on the coupons.
  • We cannot accept photocopies of coupons.
  • We allow the redemption of one Bartell coupon and one Manufacturer coupon per item purchased.
  • Coupons are accepted only for the specific product showing or described on the coupon.
  • Coupons are accepted that scan or are accepted with the manual entry of the barcode number.
  • Coupons have no cash value.
  • Bartell Drugs has the right to limit quantities and follows any restrictions on the coupon. Sales taxes will be applied in accordance with the law when redeeming a Manufacturer coupon.
  • A Bartell “Buy One Get One Free” coupon may be used in conjunction with a manufacturer coupon for the same item. Bartell Drugs allows the redemption of one manufacturer coupon for each item purchased, including the free item(s).
  • If the value of the coupon exceeds the purchase price of the item, the value of the coupon will be reduced.
  • Customers cannot net a cash credit or payout from a coupon purchase.
  • We will not accept coupons that, in the determination of Bartell Drugs personnel, appear distorted or blurry or are altered in any way.
  • Bartell Drugs reserves the right to refuse coupons at the store manager’s discretion.

Internet Printed Coupons:

  • We gladly accept internet printed coupons. The same manufacturer and store coupon rules above apply to all internet printed coupons.
  • Internet printed coupons must be capable of scanning at checkout.
  • Internet printed coupons must have serial numbers and must follow an industry-standard format.
  • Manufacturer internet printed coupons must clearly indicate that they are a manufacturer coupon and must have a valid manufacture address on the printed coupon.

Official Rules:

  1. No Purchase necessary. Must be 18 years or older to enter.
  2. Employees of Bartell Drugs are not eligible to enter.
  3. Entries must be submitted to Facebook by date indicated on promotional material. Winners will be announced and contacted by date indicated on promotional material.
  4. Void where prohibited, restricted by law, license required or subject to tax (other than tax on prizes awarded). All federal, state, and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners.
  5. All fees and personal expenses incident to redemption of the prizes (as deemed necessary) will be the sole responsibility of the winners.
  6. Prizes must be claimed within 30 days of notification. If not claimed by this date, the prizes will be forfeited. All claims thereto following this date will be null and void.
  7. Winners must agree in writing (or agree by uploading their images to the contest page on Facebook) that entry photos/image files may be used by Bartell Drugs for promotional and publication purposes. All winners will be required to sign a release to this effect prior to receiving prizes. Refusal to sign a release will therefore signify entrants disqualification in this photo contest and winners will forfeit their prizes.
  8. No substitution for selected prizes.

By uploading your photo you agree to the terms and conditions of the contest as listed. Uploaded photos are compressed by Facebook-Facebook entrants agree to supply us with a high resolution original file of the image upon request to be eligible for entry to the contest. We reserve the right to remove photos that violate the site terms and conditions.

  7. Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash and merchandise may not be substituted.
  8. Winners are responsible for all taxes, fees and similar payments, if applicable.

  12. Open only to legal U.S. residents. Entrants must be at least 18 years of age. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations shall apply.
  13. Recipients of all prizes assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this contest or the use or the redemption of any prizes.
  14. Odds of winning dependent on the total number of entries received.
  15. Employees and independent agents of Bartell Drugs, promotional sponsors, their agencies or representatives, are not eligible to enter.
