As we move into year three of the pandemic and adapt to a new normal, there continues to be uncertainty on my fronts; however, food insecurity and worry over where your next meal will come from is something many of us can do something about today. During the month of June, your neighborhood Bartell’s will be collecting non-perishable food items to support a local organization, Food Lifeline, that partners with 350 food banks, shelters, and meal programs in the 17 counties of Western Washington serving more than 1.3MM people! With many factors affecting their supply, Food Lifeline needs additional resources to help as many people in Western Washington as possible.
he Food Lifeline organization provides, on average, 45% of the food that their agency partners receive. All donations will remain local and support individuals and families in Western Washington.
How can you help? Head to your nearest Bartell’s now thru June 30th and pick up an extra can or two of food for purchase. We have donation bins set up near the registers at all our stores. If you’re in a hurry, we’re also accepting cash donations at the register. Every can or $1 helps!
