We recently hosted an honored guest at Bartell Drugs headquarters. Well, actually less “honored” and more adorable.

Bailey, is a 7-month-old Golden Retriever who recently toured our headquarters. He is a remarkable canine with almost 28,000 followers for his bail3ybear page on Instagram! You can see his personality shine through on all of his Instagram photos and videos.

For his visit to our HQ, Bailey got into the Bartell spirit, got into his own Bartell Drugs vest, and also got into some doggy treats!

Seriously, he tried a few of the Cow Boom Beef Strips we stock in the pet section of our stores, and Bailey approved of them. Multiple times.

His visit was such a success that he has been named Bartell Drugs new Chief Bark-eting Officer.

So, is your workplace dog friendly? There are many benefits to making the workplace a welcoming environment for well-behaved dogs.  From an employer or business owner’s perspective, they can help attract talented employees, or customers.

There are also a few possible issues to contemplate as well. From Co-worker pet allergies or phobias, to distractions and behavioral issues.

Allowing well-behaved pets in the workplace can help make a company more attractive to employees, a serious consideration in a tight job market. Millennials, who are projected to make up nearly half the workforce by 2020 lead the generational pack in terms of pet ownership.

We certainly enjoyed Bailey’s visit, and look forward to his return.
