SEATTLE—Seattle’s upper Queen Anne neighborhood will be the site of Bartell’s 56th store when the new 13,024 square-foot location opens March 3. Offering a full range of services, the new store is located at 1929 Queen Anne Ave. N.
The new store, located in a new residential and commercial development, will include a full-service pharmacy, many natural and organic health, beauty and cleaning products, nutritional supplements, a broad selection of convenience foods, greeting cards and more. It will feature Bartell’s exclusive PixPlus™ department—offering four digital print kiosks, a broader selection of camera and sound electronics, on-site, one hour photo finishing and a passport photo center.
The new store will employ approximately 25 employee associates. Bartell’s
24-hour lower Queen Anne store near Seattle Center will remain open.
“There is a little bit of ‘back to the future’ associated with this store,” said George D. Bartell, chairman and CEO of the family owned chain. “My grandfather, who founded the company, raised his family on Queen Anne Hill. From there he walked to his downtown office and many of the stores almost daily.”
“Our goal is to combine great customer service with a product mix tailored to the neighborhood at a convenient new location to meet the expanding needs of Queen Anne residents.”
With the opening of the Queen Anne store, Seattle-based Bartell Drugs will own and operate 56 stores in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties. Family-owned for 118 years, it is the nation's oldest drugstore chain. For more information on Bartell Drugs visit www.bartelldrugs.com.
