SEATTLE—Bartell Drugs is giving homeless families and individuals in six counties a helping hand by collecting new toiletry items and non-perishable food donations during their 6th Annual Toiletry Drive, June 20 until July 3.
Toiletries, food items and monetary donations collected during the drive will benefit the Union Gospel Mission in Seattle, Everett Gospel Mission and the Tacoma Rescue Mission. Between them the three organizations serve those that are homeless in King, Snohomish, Pierce, Skagit, San Juan and Island counties.
Over the last five years, Bartell Drugs and their customers have donated over 113,000 items. Several donation options are available, including:
- Customers can drop off or purchase travel size toiletry items and/or non-perishable food items at all 53 Bartell Drugs locations in King, Pierce and Snohomish counties.
- Monetary donations will also be accepted at all Bartell Drugs locations.
In addition to the drive, Bartell Drugs will be donating a portion of the proceeds generated from the sale of travel size items to the three missions.
Family owned Bartell Drugs owns and operates stores in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties. The 115 year-old company is the nation's oldest drugstore chain. |
