SEATTLE—Bartell Drugs expands its presence in Seattle neighborhoods with the opening of a new store in the North end of Rainier Valley.
The new store opened July 2nd, with a ribbon cutting ceremony planned for July 11th at 10 a.m. It will be the Seattle-based, family-owned company’s 55th store.
Located at 2345 Rainier Avenue South, the new 17,147 square-foot location will offer the full range of company services, including a drive-thru pharmacy.
“We have been working towards opening a location in the Rainier Valley for a number of years and finally found the right site,” said George D. Bartell, chairman and CEO of the 54-store chain. “We’re excited about serving the residents of Rainier Valley, Mt. Baker, Beacon Hill and Seward Park.”
The new store will employ approximately 30 employee associates and will feature a PixPlus™ department--which offers four digital print kiosks and a broader selection of camera and sound electronics. It includes on-site, one hour photo finishing and a passport photo center.
The store will also include a broad selection of health and beauty products, nutritional supplements, greeting cards, candy, snacks and convenience foods, housewares, automotive products, pet supplies and more.
Seattle-based Bartell Drugs owns and operates 55 stores in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties. Family-owned for 117 years, it is the nation's oldest drugstore chain. For more information on Bartell Drugs visit www.bartelldrugs.com.
