November 5 opening planned for new Bartell Drugs store in Lake City
OCTOBER 26, 2007
SEATTLE—A dramatic new Bartell Drugs store in Lake City opens its doors November 5 at the corner of NE 125th and Lake City Way, replacing the family-owned drugstore chain’s current Lake City location a few blocks away. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for November 7 at 10 a.m.
With a sweeping entrance lobby, the new 17,000 square-foot store will be 168% larger than the previous Lake City location and will feature more products and departments, including the Bartell’s signature PixPlus department with full service photo, sound and cellular products. It will also include a large convenience food section, larger pharmacy, and a wider selection of natural, organic and “made in the Northwest” products.
“This is a much larger store, allowing us to meet our goal of serving Lake City area customers with a broader range of products and services,” said Bartell Drug’s Chairman and CEO George D. Bartell. “It will definitely offer an enhanced ‘shopper-friendly’ environment.”
Seattle-based Bartell Drugs owns and operates 55 stores in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties. Family-owned for 117 years, it is the nation's oldest drugstore chain. For more information on Bartell Drugs visit www.bartelldrugs.com.
