The family-owned chain’s “Northernmost” location to date
SEATTLE—Bartell Drugs expands its service area in north Snohomish County with the opening of a new 15,000 square foot store in Stanwood. A grand opening celebration, including an appearance by Northwest television icon J.P. Patches, wagon rides, live music and complimentary treats, will be held on Saturday, November 5 beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Located at 7205 267th Street NW, the much-anticipated location is the Seattle-based company’s twelfth store in Snohomish County and its “northernmost” location to date. Spotlighting a number of consumer-friendly features, the new store includes a PixPlus™ department--which offers four digital print kiosks and a broader selection of camera and sound electronics—a two lane drive-thru pharmacy, expanded selections of health and wellness products and on-site, one hour photo finishing.
“North Snohomish County is a vibrant and growing area and we are looking forward to opening our doors and serving Stanwood and surrounding communities,” said George D. Bartell, CEO and chairman of the company.
In celebration of the grand opening, Bartell’s will be hosting a community celebration at the store, which will include a Johnsonville “brat fry,” live music by the Crow Island Dixieland Band and free wagon rides. Highlighting the festivities will be an appearance by J.P. Patches from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The chain’s newest store will employ approximately 25 employees and will be managed by Dave Blackburn, formerly of Bartell’s Frontier Village location in Lake Stevens.
JR Abbott is the general contractor and CDA Architects designed the store.
