SEATTLE—Bartell Drugs is set to open a new location in Shoreline next week, featuring expanded presentations of cameras, sound electronics and digital photo kiosks.
Located at 185th and Highway 99 in Shoreline, the store opens its doors to the public on August 29.
The new Shoreline store will be among the first Bartell’s locations to feature a Pix Plus™ department. Developed by Bartell’s to make camera and electronics shopping simple and easy, this expanded department features a broader selection of electronics--including MP3 players, digital cameras and more--along with easily understandable information that is designed to help assist customers in making purchase decisions. In addition, the store will have four digital kiosks for printing digital photos.
The new store will also include a drive thru pharmacy, on-site, one hour photo finishing, health and beauty products, nutritional supplements, an expanded selection of wellness products, greeting cards, cosmetics, candy, snacks and convenience foods.
The 15,000 square foot store is part of the Gateway Plaza development, which includes the drugstore and a new 50,000 square foot retail center that will have a mix of both retail and service oriented businesses. The Shoreline store will employ approximately 25 employees and will be managed by Tim Thomas, formerly of Bartell’s 152nd and Aurora location in Shoreline.
Mulvanny G2 Architecture designed the store and SGA Corporation is the general contractor.
