Bartell Drugs announces new store managers for several locations

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

SEATTLE—In preparation for the opening of its new downtown Seattle store at 4th and Madison in mid-July, Bartell Drugs has made new store manager appointments in Seattle, Bellevue, Maple Valley, Renton and Lynnwood.

John Lewis has been chosen as the new store manager of Bartell’s new downtown Seattle store, Randy Starkel has been named manager of Bartell’s Crossroads location and Michael Neisinger is the new manager of the Wallingford store.  The new manager of the company’s Maple Valley store is Debbie Carroll, Steve Hoedle is the new manager of the Renton Highlands location, and Al Elliott has been promoted to manager of the Mukilteo Speedway store.

Lewis has over 21 years of experience in the drug retail business and has been working for Bartell’s for the last 20 years.  The Seattle resident has been a member of the company’s management team since 1997, when he was promoted to manager of the Swedish Hospital location.  Lewis was most recently the manager at Bartell’s Crossroads store.

Seattle native Randy Starkel was formerly the manager at Maple Valley.  Starkel began his 18-year career with the company back in college, when he worked as a cashier at Bartell’s Bridle Trails store in Kirkland.

Michael Neisinger has been working for Bartell’s for 12 years—starting as a cashier clerk at the company’s Silver Lake store in Everett.  The Everett resident was previously the manager at the Mukilteo Speedway location in Lynnwood.

Maple Valley resident Debbie Carroll was formerly the manager of the company’s Renton Highlands store.  Carroll has over 27 years in the drug retail business and has been working for Bartell’s for the last seven years.

Hoedle, a North Bend resident, has worked for Bartell’s for six years and in the drug retail business for 18 years.  He was formerly the manager at the company’s Wallingford location.

Al Elliott was previously the second assistant manager at the company’s Mountlake Terrace store.  The Edmonds resident has been working for Bartell’s for over two years.

Family owned Bartell Drugs owns and operates 52 stores in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties.  The 114 year-old company is the nation's oldest drugstore chain.
