FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
SEATTLE—Healthy smiles are the order of the day at the Pacific Science Center as Bartell Drugs sponsors the 23rd annual Smile Day on Saturday, February 28.
The annual event, which runs from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., offers parents the opportunity to have their children’s dental health assessed by members of the Seattle King County Dental Society at no charge. Customers can pick up Smile Day coupons at any Bartell Drugstore that allow every child who has their teeth checked to receive free admission to the Pacific Science Center, courtesy of Bartell Drugs. Parents will also receive $2.00 off discounted admission to the center. In addition, there will be free samples including children’s toothbrushes from Proctor & Gamble for participants.
“Dental health is a key part of a child’s overall health, which is why dental checkups are so important,” said George D. Bartell, Chairman and CEO of Bartell Drugs. “This event is a great opportunity for parents who may not be able to afford regular dental care to have their children’s teeth checked for free.”
Over 1,000 children attended the event last year and learned how to maintain a healthy smile. Additional information on “Smile Day” can be found at any of Bartell’s 52 locations or online at www.bartelldrugs.com.
Family-owned Bartell Drugs is the nations' oldest drugstore chain. It operates stores in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties.
