FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
SEATTLE—Bartell Drugs has begun work on one of its larger stores to date—The new store at Crossroads in Bellevue will feature two drive-thru lanes, expanded product selections and 24-hour operations.
Located at 653-156th Avenue NE, the new 18,047 square foot location is slated to become the company’s second 24-hour store when it opens mid-summer, according to George D. Bartell, chairman and CEO of the company.
Formerly a fulfillment center for Albertson’s home delivery, the location’s sizeable square footage will enable the company to offer two drive-thru pharmacy lanes, as well as expanded key categories such as Convenience Foods and Cosmetics.
The full-service store will also feature on-site, one hour photo finishing, a digital print center, a drive-thru pharmacy, camera and sound products, health and beauty products, nutritional supplements, greeting cards, cosmetics, candy, snacks and convenience foods, housewares, automotive products, pet supplies and more.
Donahou Design Group Architects, LLC designed the store and Pennon Construction Company, Inc. is the general contractor.
The new Crossroads store will employ approximately 25 employee associates.
Family-owned Bartell Drugs is the nations' oldest drugstore chain, operating stores in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties.
