“Beat the Bug” this flu season at select Bartell Drugs locations
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
SEATTLE – Bartell Drugs is offering flu and pneumonia vaccinations at select store locations during October and November in an effort to help people reduce their risk for contracting these illnesses during the flu season.
Registered nurses from the Visiting Nurse Services of the Northwest will administer the vaccinations as part of their annual “Beat the Bug” flu campaign. Flu shots will cost $20.00 and pneumonia shots will be $30.00. Visit Bartell’s website at www.bartelldrugs.com for a list of stores locations and dates or call your local Bartell Drugs store for more information.
Registered pharmacists at 18 Bartell Drugs locations also provide year-round flu and pneumonia vaccinations. For more information visit Bartell’s website at www.bartelldrugs.com.
Flu and pneumonia can be life threatening to the elderly and people with compromised immune systems. It is important to get vaccinated between September and November before the peak of the flu and pneumonia season hits.
Family owned Bartell Drugs operates 52 stores in King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties. The 113-year old company is the nation’s oldest drugstore chain.
