SEATTLE--Bartell Drugs continues its 64-year tradition of serving West Seattle with the November 11 opening of a new store in the Admiral District, the company’s second store in the West Seattle community.
Located at 2345 42nd Avenue SW, the latest addition to the Bartell chain encompasses 14,500 square-feet and is expected to employ approximately 25 employee associates. The store is part of a new development that includes both underground parking and condominiums above the store.
Bartell's has been serving the West Seattle community since 1938. The family-owned chain’s other West Seattle Store is located at Jefferson Square.
The new location will feature a number of customer-convenience features, including On-Site One-hour photo finishing, Drive-thru pharmacy and a pick up location for prescriptions and other items ordered online at www.bartelldrugs.com.
“We’re excited to have two stores in West Seattle, each located in vibrant business districts. This new location will allow us to better serve residents at the north end of the community,” said George D. Bartell, CEO and chairman.
Bartell announced that Debbie Rosicky, formerly the manager at Bartell’s Roosevelt Square store, will manage the new Admiral District location.
Complementing Bartell's long tradition of customer service, the store will boast a complete selection of products and services, including Photo and Sound products, Health and Beauty products, Nutritional Supplements, Greeting Cards, Cosmetics, Snacks and Convenience Foods, Housewares and more.
The Bartell Drug Company is the nation’s oldest drugstore chain. The family-owned company has 50 stores in King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties.
