SEATTLE—Bartell Drugs is participating in several fundraisers this spring as part of their continuing commitment to help support local organizations that fund research and health care programs.   Organizations that will be holding fundraisers supported by Bartell’s, include:

• Multiple Sclerosis Society’s MS Walk, March 30, April 6 & April 7.  As a supporting sponsor of the Multiple Sclerosis Society’s 2002 MS Walk, Bartell Drugs will be providing brochures and pledge forms for the event at all of their locations in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties.  The annual fundraiser will take place on March 30 in Bellingham, April 6 in Tacoma and Snohomish and April 7 in Seattle.  All of the proceeds generated from the walk will help fund national research efforts to find the cause and cure for MS in addition to funding local programs for more than 6,500 people living with MS in Western and Central Washington.  Last year’s walk raised a record breaking $1,000,000 with 6,000 participants in nine sites throughout Western Washington.
• March of Dimes, WalkAmerica, April 13.  Bartell Drugs is proud to be a supporting sponsor of the March of Dimes, WalkAmerica on Saturday, April 13.  This year’s walk will take place at Safeco Field in King County, Legion Park Hall in Snohomish County and Wilson High School in Pierce County.  Proceeds generated from the walk will be used to support lifesaving research and innovative programs to prevent premature births and birth defects.  Brochures and volunteer forms for the event will be available at all Bartell locations.

Bartell Drugs is the nations’ oldest drugstore chain.  The family-owned company owns and operates 50 stores in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties.
