New Passport Rules for all international air travel including Canada and Mexico
Before January 23rd, 2007 you only needed proof of citizenship and proof of identity to enter into the United States from Canada and Mexico. That meant you could travel by air using a birth certificate and driver’s license.Now you must have a current U.S. Passport to enter the United States via air. Even infants need a valid U.S. passport to enter the U.S. by air.
