Online Pharmacy Terms of Use

Bartell Drugs provides an Online Pharmacy Application, referred to in this Terms of Use notice as the “site”, to help you manage your prescriptions filled by our pharmacies. Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using Bartell Drugs’ Online Pharmacy Application] or any services provided in connection with this site provided by our third party business partners.

We may update the Terms of Use and will post the updated terms to this site. You should periodically review this page to determine if these terms have been updated. You will be subject to the updated Terms of Use if you use the site after the effective date. By continuing to use the site following any updates to the Terms of Use you agree to be bound by the updates and consent to our use and disclosure of your information in accordance with the updated Terms of Use.

Access and Amendment
You may use this site to view and manage prescriptions you have filled by our pharmacies, such as transferring, filling and refilling prescriptions online, managing prescriptions for you and your family members, and viewing and printing your prescription history. Family members may also authorize an adult or young adult family member to access and manage their prescriptions on their behalf. If you are authorized to access a family member’s health information, you agree to protect the confidentiality of the information. You may remove family member access at any time within your account settings.

If you authorize a family member to have access to your information, you are authorizing the release of health information to assist with your care and to maintain your information. You understand these records may contain information created by physicians and other health care providers as well as information specially protected by law such as information pertaining to the use of drug or alcohol treatment, HIV/AIDS treatment, reproductive health services, treatment for sexually transmitted disease, and mental health services.

You may receive email notification from our site regarding prescription status and account management. You may also receive important email alerts and messages regarding the site. This site is not suitable for use in an emergency. If you or a loved one is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911. If you need assistance with refills or other prescription matters on an urgent basis, please contact your regular pharmacy by phone. If you think our records displayed on the website are inaccurate, you can request that we amend the records. Please provide your request to our Privacy Officer in writing. You may also request a copy of your records or request confidential commuinication, please contact our Pharmacy Support Center at 206-764-7992.

We do not knowingly allow children under the age of 13 to access or use the site. By using this site you affirm that you are of legal age to do so.

Privacy and Security
Personal information you submit to the site is governed by our site Online Privacy Policy. How we use and disclose your personal health information is governed by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. We protect your information by using industry-standard safeguards such as firewalls and encryption. When you log in to the site using your personal credentials, your prescription information is accessed in a secure environment. You may only access or view your own information or information belonging to a family member or other individual who has authorized you to have access.

Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that no unauthorized person has access to your online password or account. To keep your account secure, do not disclose your password to anyone, monitor access to your account, and promptly change your password if you feel it has been compromised. Inform Bartell Drugs right away if you need to delete an account for security purposes. In addition, by using the site, you make the following commitments to us:

  • You agree not to use or permit the use of any data gathering tool or mechanism to access, view or obtain data from the site or interfere with any user’s access to the site.
  • You will not gain unauthorized access to or attempt to obtain the underlying code or structure of the site.
  • You agree not to use secure messaging for any purpose in violation of local, state, national, international laws or posted Bartell Drugs policies.
  • You agree to use the site only for lawful purposes and not to transmit material that infringes or violates intellectual property rights of others or the privacy rights of others. You agree not to transmit material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, predatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, slanderous, or hateful to any person or entity
  • You agree not to use our service in any way intended to harm a user or other individual or would likely result in harm.
  • You agree not to collect information about others, including email addresses, using the site.
  • You agree not to transmit viruses or other computer code on the site that is potentially harmful, invasive or intended to damage or hijack the operation or monitor the use of any hardware or software.
  • You agree not to use this site as a substitute for obtaining specific advice about medications or a health condition from a qualified health care professional such as a physician or pharmacist.

All information and materials available through the site (“Content”) other than your personal information are the property of Bartell drugs or our third party partners and are protected by United States and International copyright laws. You may only access or use the Content for personal use. The compilation of all content on the site is exclusively ours. “The Bartell Drug Company,” “Bartell Drugs,” “Bartells” and our logo are our trademarks. You agree not to use our trademarks in connection with any product or service that is not ours, or in any manner that could create confusion about the source of our services.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the site, with or without notice if we have reason to believe that your account on the site has been misused or compromised by an unauthorized individual, or if we believe that you have violated these Terms of Use. You may terminate your access to the site at any time by contacting us.

We try to keep the Content we provide through the site as current and accurate, but do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness for any particular purpose. Some Content available through the site may be provided by a third party business partner and The Bartell Drug Company assumes no responsibility for updating or maintaining third party content. If you identify information about yourself or a family member or Content that is incomplete or that you believe to be incorrect, please contact us in the manner described under Access and Amendment, above.
