Meningitis
This is a condition where the tissue around the brain and spinal cord get inflamed, which can be very painful and cause seizures. The most common symptoms are fever, neck stiffness, and headache. It can be caused by a virus or bacteria, and it is spread by coughing, sneezing, and kissing. If it is a serious infection, it can lead to brain damage.
Vaccine to help prevent Meningitis

Menactra® There are two different vaccines that can help to prevent meningitis. The one we offer is Menactra®, which prevents some bacterial meningitis infections. It is recommended for people between 2-55 years old, especially for those between 15-19 and college freshman living in the dorms. It is only given one time.
